Meet Our Front Office Team
Carrie, Business Manager, brings to the practice over 20 years of retail management experience. She graduated from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1991. Her education in the dental field began in 1998 when she and Dr. Joe purchased the practice and created Tiny Tooth Dental. She enjoys the technological aspect of dentistry and is always trying to improve the day to day functions. As a friendly, caring, no nonsense member of the team, she strives to make this office the very best choice for your family's dental care. Carrie has been married to Dr. Joe for over 25 years and lives in Troy with their three girls, Kiyone, Akira and Reia. She loves reading, the outdoors and shares Dr. Joe's love of food and travel.
“Dr. Joe is a wonderful husband, father and pediatric dentist. His laugh alone is so engaging; it always makes me smile. I love working with our team in the casual atmosphere of our office. I wouldn't want to work anywhere else.”
Whitney, Scheduling and Insurance Coordinator, has been a registered dental hygienist since 2010, worked with our office as an RDH in 2019 and took a hiatus from dental hygiene in 2020. As her children became more involved with their extra-curricular activities, she made a lateral move and rejoined us once again in 2022 to assist with scheduling, insurance verification and occasionally subbing in our hygiene department. Whitney has a fun and enthusiastic personality, which combined with her clinical dental knowledge makes her a very valuable asset to our front office staff. She loves interacting with our families and see their cute children every day. She has been married for over 15 years and lives in Shelby Township with her three children, Peyton, Ryan and Harper. She’s a big fan of coffee and shopping, while the children and their dogs keep her extra busy with numerous extra-curricular activities.
“Working at Tiny Tooth Dental, there is never a dull moment! We always have fun and everyone gets along really well. It is a great place to work!”
Nadine, Scheduling Receptionist, has been bringing her two children for their dental care since 2018 and joined our practice in February of 2024. With an educational background in criminal justice and a license in Real Estate, which she continues to practice, Nadine is a kind, competent professional with a sweet voice and caring demeanor. She speaks both Arabic and Chaldean fluently which allows for a special understanding of two of our largest communities. She commands the phones and scheduling with confidence and skill, always looking to understand and grow. Nadine resides in Shelby Township with her husband Tony and enjoys traveling the world with her family. Her two children Leo and Liana keep her busy with soccer games and dance competitions. In her spare time, she loves shopping, photography, reading, hiking and decorating her home.
“I love working with our team because we all share the same goal. Our team and doctor go above and beyond in every way possible to take care of our patients!”
Sukhmani (Suzie), Scheduling Receptionist, joined our team in 2021 and graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelors Degree in Biology in 2023. She began volunteering in the dental field in 2019 and has plans to apply to Dental School in 2024 and become a dentist like Dr. Joe. She has also shadowed other dental specialists and has completed her dental x-ray certification. Her bubbly personality and calm, soft voice allow her to easily work with our patients and parents. She loves making the children feel at home when they visit and enjoys a nice rapport with the whole team. During her free time, Suzie loves to watch basketball, volunteer, babysit her cousins and go shopping.
“I love working with Dr. Joe and our team because everyone reminds me of how excited I am to become a dentist! Our team is fun, caring and hardworking; everything I aspire to be as a dentist!”
Rita, Scheduling Receptionist, has been working in the dental field since 2018 and joined us in 2020. She is sweet, caring, and compassionate with an amazing phone voice. She is wonderful with our parents and children and always has a smile for everyone. Her ability to speak both Arabic and English has been an incredible asset to our office and its diverse patient population. She graduated in May of 2024 from Chamberlain College of Nursing and received her RN degree. Although she now has a full-time position with the Henry Ford Hospital network, she still spends a few days each month working with our patients and parents. During her free time, Rita enjoys her family and friends, while cooking and baking with her sister.
“I love working with Dr. Joe and the rest of my co-workers because they are always so funny and know how to make someone smile. I have really grown close with them!”

Kristen, RDH, began working in the dental field in 2007 as a front desk associate and graduated from Oakland University in 2009 with her Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. She became a substitute hygienist with us in 2020, and we hired her in 2022 to work part-time with us every Friday. She has a sweet demeanor and enjoys being on same the level as our little ones. Very patient, she loves working with the children and seeing them get excited about their teeth. Kristen loves to read, dance, swim and play with her son Gabriel. Right now he keeps her busy building legos and fighting zombies.
“Dr. Tuazon is sooo patient and funny!

Meet Our Dental Assistants
Sharon, RDA, went to college in San Diego and received her degree in 1977. With over 40 years of experience as a dental assistant, she is efficient, knowledgeable and a fabulous addition to our dental team. An extremely compassionate and caring person, her fun sense of humor adds to the relaxed, happy atmosphere of our office. Sharon lives in Macomb with her husband Michael of over 40 years and loves to work out at the gym, travel and watch movies. Her two grown children, Jennifer and Christopher are her pride and joy and both have wonderful careers. She believes in living life to the fullest with no regrets; there is no going back!
“I love working with Dr. Joe; he is such a breath of fresh air! It makes our day always stress free. I’m so happy to work with our great staff!”
Shanna, DA, has an Associates Degree in General Studies and has been a dental assistant since 2002. In 2014, she took time off to raise her four boys and decided in January 2022 to return to the dental field as a pediatric dental assistant. Always willing to help others, she enjoys working with our little ones and making sure they are as comfortable as possible. Her calm and bubbly personality make her a great fit for our office. Shanna lives in Macomb with her husband Mark and their four boys, Dylan, Carson, Brockston and Brantley, who have very active sports schedules. Adding a new puppy named Kevin into the mix has been really fun for them. Extremely comfortable in the kitchen, she loves to meal plan and cook for her family. She truly believes that life is not about the breaths you take; it’s about the moments that take your breath away.
“The Tiny Tooth team has really been amazing. I love the teamwork everyone puts into the office. From the front desk, to the hygienists, to the assistants, we all are willing to help one another. It’s wonderful!”
Forever in our hearts...
Rosalyn, Financial Administrator, had been with Tiny Tooth Dental since its inception in July of 1998 and was instrumental in growing and expanding the business for 19 years. She succumbed tragically to cancer in early 2018, and remains forever a huge contributor to the success of our practice. She had over 25 years experience in the dental field beginning with a co-op position in high school. Roz handled HR, insurance, billing, collections and filled in wherever she was needed. She covered at reception and even assisted Dr. Joe when he was shorthanded. She had a great rapport with all and would do anything for the office. You could not find a more loyal, trustworthy associate and partner. But most of all she was our friend and we loved her like she was part of our family. Her warm smile, her great sense of humor, her contagious laugh and her generous heart will be missed by all. We would not be where we are today without our Rozzie, and we know Heaven has received a wonderful, amazing addition to its host of Angels.
“We are Family.”
We miss you, Roz! We couldn't have done it without you... Love Dr. Joe and Carrie
Hailey, RDH, had just earned her one year anniversary with Tiny Tooth Dental when she was abruptly taken from our lives. In the process of finishing her BS in Dental Hygiene with Ferris University in May of 2022, she looked forward to growing her knowledge in pediatric dentistry and learning to treat all different types of patients and behaviors. She was enthusiastic, upbeat and always had a smile for everyone. Demonstrating an ability to work with even the toughest kids, “Hails” was one of the most genuine people we have met, which made her a great fit with our little patients. She always brought her patients back with “Hi, how are ya?” and “I’m fine, thank you for asking!” She lived in Harrison Township with her dog, Jax, and two cats, Hope and Sebastian. Her favorite place to walk her dog was through the nature trails and they enjoyed finding new ones to explore. Some of her favorite activities were spending time with family, kayaking and going to concerts during the summer with her friends. Expecting her to be a part of our team for years to come, her absence left our team heartbroken and created an immediate void in our office. She was a beautiful person who will be missed by all.
“The team feels like a family. Everyone is always so super nice and happy.”
